Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Memora: Notification History, developed by MavDock, accesses, processes, stores, and protects information.
Memora is designed around local, on-device storage. The goal is to help you save, search, organize, and understand your notification history while keeping notification content under your control on your device.
Information Memora Handles
Memora processes information required to provide its notification-history and notification-management features. This may include:
- Notification title and text
- App name and package identifier of the sending app
- Notification timestamps
- Notification status, such as received or cleared
- Notification categories
- Repeat count or related notification metadata
- Preferences and settings you choose in Memora
- Favorites or ignored-app choices
- Insights generated from your local notification history
Notification Data
Memora stores notification data locally on your device.
Memora does not upload notification content to MavDock servers. Notification data is processed on your device to provide features such as notification history, search, app-wise organization, smart categories, favorites, filters, auto-delete, and insights.
MavDock cannot remotely access notification content stored locally on your device.
Installed Apps Information
Memora may access information about apps installed on your device, including app names, icons, and package identifiers. This is used to:
- Display notification history by app
- Let you choose apps that Memora should ignore
- Show app icons and app names inside Memora
- Organize notifications and insights by app
Installed-app information is processed locally on your device and is not uploaded to MavDock servers.
Ignored Apps
If you choose to ignore an app, Memora will not save or index new notifications from that app. Ignored apps’ notifications may still appear normally on your phone through Android, but Memora will not store them after they are ignored.
On-Device Storage
Notification records, app preferences, settings, favorites, ignored-app choices, and related app data are stored on your device using local Android storage.
MavDock cannot remotely view, retrieve, restore, or delete locally stored notification content. You control this data through Memora, Android settings, or your device storage controls.
Data MavDock Does Not Collect or Sell
MavDock does not collect notification content through Memora.
MavDock does not sell your personal data.
MavDock does not:
- Upload notification content to MavDock servers
- Use notification content for advertising
- Use notification content for profiling
- Share notification content with third parties
- Use notification content for data brokerage
- Use notification content to train AI models
Internet and Cloud Usage
Memora does not require a MavDock cloud account and does not upload notification content to a MavDock server.
Memora may connect to Google Play for app distribution, licensing, purchases, updates, and platform services. Google may process information related to those services under Google’s own privacy policy and terms.
Payments and Purchases
If Memora offers paid features, purchases are processed by Google Play.
MavDock does not directly receive or store your full payment-card details. Purchase processing, refunds, payment authentication, and related transaction handling are managed by Google Play according to Google’s own policies.
Memora may store a local purchase or entitlement state on your device so premium features can be unlocked after purchase or restore.
App Permissions and System Access
Memora may request permissions or system access only when needed for app features.
Notification Access
Memora requires Android Notification Access permission to save and organize notifications. Android displays a system permission screen before this access is granted.
You can revoke Notification Access at any time in your device settings. If Notification Access is revoked, Memora will stop recording new notifications.
Notification Permission
Memora may request permission to show notifications. This may be used for local reminders, app status updates, or notification-history related alerts. You can control this permission in Android settings.
App Lock and Device Authentication
If you enable app lock, Memora uses Android’s device authentication system, such as screen lock, fingerprint, face unlock, PIN, pattern, or password where available.
Memora does not receive, store, or access your biometric data, fingerprint data, face data, PIN, password, or device unlock credentials. Authentication is handled by Android.
Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking
Memora does not include third-party advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or third-party tracking SDKs for collecting notification content.
Memora does not use notification content for advertising, tracking, profiling, analytics monetization, or data brokerage.
Google Play, Android, and device manufacturers may process limited technical, purchase, crash, diagnostic, or installation information according to their own policies and settings.
User-Initiated Actions
Memora may allow you to copy notification content, open the related app, manage app settings, or take other actions from within Memora.
If you choose to copy, share, open, or move information outside Memora, that information may be handled by Android, your clipboard, Google Play, the destination app, or other third-party apps according to their own privacy practices.
Data Sharing
Memora does not share notification content with MavDock or third-party services.
Data may leave Memora only when you choose to perform an action such as copying notification content, sharing information, opening another app, changing Android settings, or completing a purchase through Google Play.
When you use Google Play, Android settings, clipboard tools, or other third-party apps, those services handle data according to their own privacy policies.
Notification History Limitations
Memora is not a backup service and cannot guarantee recovery of deleted messages, missed notifications, or lost data.
Memora can only save notification content that Android makes available to Memora after Notification Access is granted and while Memora is installed, enabled, and permitted to run.
Notifications may not be saved or may be incomplete if:
- Notification Access was not enabled
- The notification appeared before Memora was installed or enabled
- The notification was removed before Android made it available
- The sending app restricts notification content
- Android limits access to the notification
- The sending app is ignored in Memora
- Battery optimization, background restrictions, or device settings prevent Memora from running normally
- The notification contains hidden, private, or protected content
- The device manufacturer changes or restricts Android notification behavior
Deleted Messages
Memora may show notification content from messages that appeared in Android notifications before they were deleted or changed in the sending app.
Memora cannot guarantee recovery of deleted messages. If a message never appeared in an Android notification, appeared with hidden content, was restricted by the sending app, or was not captured while Notification Access was active, Memora may not be able to show it.
Data Security
Memora relies on Android’s app sandbox, device security controls, and local storage protections to help protect data stored on your device.
You are responsible for maintaining appropriate device security, such as using a secure screen lock, keeping your operating system updated, and protecting access to your device.
No method of electronic storage or device security can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Data Retention and Deletion
Notification data remains on your device until you delete it, clear app storage, uninstall Memora, or otherwise remove it through Android/device storage behavior.
You can delete stored notification data from within Memora. Memora may also provide auto-delete options that remove older notification history based on your selected retention period.
Data may also be removed if you clear Memora’s app storage, uninstall Memora, reset your device, or use Android/device storage controls, subject to Android and device behavior.
MavDock cannot restore notification history after it has been deleted from your device.
Children’s Privacy
Memora is not directed to children under 13.
MavDock does not knowingly collect personal information from children through Memora. If you believe a child has provided personal information to MavDock, please contact MavDock.
Third-Party Services
Memora may rely on Google Play and Android platform services for app distribution, purchases, licensing, updates, billing, and device-level functionality.
These services are provided by Google and are governed by Google’s own privacy policies and terms. MavDock is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services, apps, or platforms.
Changes to This Policy
MavDock may update this Privacy Policy as Memora, its features, legal requirements, or platform requirements change.
When changes are made, the effective date will be updated. Material changes may also be communicated through Memora where appropriate.
